Several popular personalities in the showbiz industry are also known figures in the political arena. One of them is actor-politician Herbert Bautista or popularly called by his friends and supporters “Bistek”.
Bistek served as mayor of Quezon City from 2010 to 2019. Currently, he is running for senator in the May 2022 Elections.
In 2020, Herbert Bautista did a project in showbiz – the digital movie “The House Arrest of Us”. In the said digital film, he played the character of the husband of Ruffa Gutierrez’s role.
Currently, there are rumors about the real score between Herbert and Ruffa but both celebrities remained tight-lipped about their relationship. The actress-beauty queen is currently one of the judges of a segment of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show “It’s Showtime”.
Recently, Ruffa Gutierrez took to social media a post that seemingly confirms the real score between her and Herbert Bautista. On Instagram, she posted a video showing the campaign sorties of the senatorial candidate and their selfie. Along with it is a sweet caption.
The actress-beauty queen wrote that Herbert is #8 on the official ballot for the May 2020 Senatorial Race but he is #1 in her heart. She also mentioned that he made it to the Top 12 of the Pulse Asia survey. Here’s her Instagram post:

Several celebrities including Sunshine Cruz, Tim Yap, Bianca Manalo, and Nadia Montenegro left heart emojis and emojis with heart eyes on her post. Her brother, Raymond Gutierrez, and their “The House Arrest of Us” co-star Arlene Muhlach also reacted to the post. A lot of people are visibly happy for them.
