Here’s the message of Herbert Bautista to Kris Aquino following his missed proposal post
HERBERT BAUTISTA – The actor-turned-politician apologized to Queen of All Media Kris Aquino following his missed proposal post.
It was on Sunday, October 24 when Kris announced her engagement with former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mel Sarmiento.
But before the two announced their engagement, Kris Aquino was once linked to Herbert Bautista over a romantic relationship. Apparently, it did not blossom.
Earlier, Herbert took to social media wherein he re-shared a tweet about a marriage proposal.
In the said post, Dax Lucas, a columnist of the Philippine Daily Inquirer narrated how he ended up proposing to his then-girlfriend after covering the 2004 miting de avance of Sen. Ping Lacson. At the time, the former PNP chief was running for president. However, he lost to ex-president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Back to Herbert Bautista’s shared post, he captioned it with: “Mr. President Ping, na-inspire din tuloy akong mag-propose. Kaso, sayang… may napili na po sya” alongside the hashtags; #TOTGA and #KungMaibabalikKoLang.
His tweet earned mixed comments with some netizens claiming that it might be his reaction to Kris Aquino’s recent engagement.
Herbert has taken down his post, however, it was “too late.”
He later apologized to Kris Aquino for “unjustifiably hurt feelings.”
Kris Aquino herself has yet to issue any statement with regards to the cryptic post of Bautista.
Following his message about Kris, Mel Sarmiento issued an official statement addressed to Herbert Bautista.
