Group of Doctors Campaign for Leni-Kiko Tandem
GROUP OF DOCTORS – The “Doctors for Leni and Kiko” pledged their support to the candidacies of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
In less than two (2) months, the Filipinos are once again set to exercise their right to vote. Both local and national elections are set to be held on May 9. There are 10 candidates for president in the upcoming election.
The only female presidential candidate in the upcoming election is Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. She is running alongside vice-presidential bet Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. The Vice President is running as an independent candidate while the Senator is under Liberal Party.
The Leni-Kiko tandem has visited several cities and provinces to campaign with the people. Their grand rallies have gathered thousands of supporters and volunteers who do not only pledge their support for the tandem but are also campaigning for them.
Several celebrities, former and incumbent politicians, political groups, and groups of people belonging to the same field have also pledged their support for the Leni-Kiko tandem.
Recently, a group of doctors with around 12,000 members confirmed their support for the candidacies of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, they did not only pledged to support the tandem but they are also campaigning for them in their own ways.
According to Dr. Gia Sison, they are wholeheartedly supporting the Leni-Kiko tandem as doctors who are risking their lives daily together with the people who are affected by the pandemic in hospitals and the community. The group stressed that only the tandem has “genuine concern” for the Filipino people and has clear platforms to address the pandemic.
Many of the members of the group of doctors called ‘Doctors for Leni and Kiko’ said they are campaigning to their patients, nurses, and the people they are working with at the hospitals. Some of them are doing both online and offline campaigns for the tandem.
