Baron Geisler’s wife: “Grabe pag-relapse niya (Baron Geisler) lately. Last December medyo traumatic for the kids so I told him, ‘Pag iinom ka, wag dito sa bahay.’”
Actor Baron Geisler had been having a hard time managing his drinking habits again, according to his wife Jamie Evangelista.
Jamie recently reached out to talent manager-comedian Ogie Diaz and gave her statement about a now-deleted video of herself and her husband, as per Ogie’s YouTube channel on Monday, April 11.
In the said video, Jamie appears to be confronting her husband, then she threw at him a container with liquid on it, which spilled all over her husband who was lying in bed.
“Grabe pag-relapse niya (Baron) lately. Last December medyo traumatic for the kids so I told him, ‘Pag iinom ka, wag dito sa bahay,’” Jamie said.
Jamie recounted how she went to a hotel to pick up her husband for their flight to Manila, only to know that he was still drinking when she came. She then apologized for how she reacted, explaining that she wasn’t able to control her emotions at that time because she had enough of his actions.
According to her, she called someone from the rehabilitation center so her husband can detoxify there for a few days and reschedule his dubbing in Manila but he got so paranoid.
She also said that she’s still hoping and praying that her husband really overcomes his addiction to alcohol in God’s perfect time.
“Nag-video siya I guess to seek sympathy,” Jamie said. “I’m still hoping and praying na ma-overcome niya talaga ang addiction niya sa alcohol in God’s perfect time.”
When asked by Ogie if Baron drinks every day, Jamie clarified that her husband only drinks for 3 days every 2 weeks. She shared that her husband will drink for 3 days then he gets depressed and will stay in the room for 3-4 days when he stops drinking.

Just 5 months shy of celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary this year, Jamie shared an update on where her husband is at the moment.
“He is in Manila now. Magpaparehab daw siya. I hope it’s true. Nasa kanya na talaga yan. Focus na lang ako dito sa Cebu sa mga bata,” Jamie said.
Meanwhile, Baron opened up on his fear of “going crazy again” in an interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer last 2021, but added that he believes sustaining sobriety will lead him and his family to more blessings.
