WILL SMITH – The award-winning actor slapped Chris Rock in the face onstage during the 2022 Academy Awards or 94th Oscars.

Willard Carroll Smith also known by his stage name The Fresh Prince, is an American actor, rapper, and film producer.

Throughout his career, he has been a recipient of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, four Grammy Awards, and has been nominated a Primetime Emmy Award.

Smith achieved wider fame for his fictionalized self-portrayal on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, in the action film Bad Boys as well as the sci-fi comedies Men in Black, Independence Day, and Enemy of the State, Muhammad Ali in Ali, earning his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

He also starred in a string of successful films, including I, Robot, Shark Tale, Hitch, I Am Legend, Hancock, Seven Pounds and The Pursuit of Happyness.

His portrayal of Richard Williams in King Richard (2021) was critically acclaimed, which earned him the Best Actor award.

While Chris Rock is presenting the award for best documentary, he joked about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. Apparently, it did not go over well with Will.

He later went on stage and gave Chris a slap in the face. The audience was stunned as to what Smith did.

Will can be heard cursing at Chris despite the fact the latter is trying to pacify the situation which he described as the “greatest night in the history of television.”

Meanwhile, Will Smith turned emotional while receiving his Oscars win for his role in King Richard as well as over the situation with Chris Rock.
