In a video, the nocturnal animal can be seen circling inside the cinema in the middle of the screening of “The Batman.”

The management of the cinema confirmed that a spectator released the bat just for a prank.

“Unfortunately a guest tried to pull a prank at one of our locations,” said Annelise Holyoak, a cinema official. “Local animal control was immediately contacted, and they oversaw the situation to ensure guest, associate and animal safety.”

According to the animal center that caught the bat, the prank is dangerous because the bats in their area have rabies.
