A security guard also known as a security inspector, security officer, or protective agent is a person employed by a government or private party to protect the employing party’s assets from a variety of hazards by enforcing preventative measures.

Security guards do this by maintaining a high-visibility presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions, looking for signs of crime or other hazards, taking action to minimize damage, and reporting any incidents to their clients and emergency services.

Meanwhile, a security guard was in question for allegedly shooting a minor with a shotgun.

The 16-year-old victim sustained injuries to his head, back, neck and arm after he was allegedly shot by a security guard with a shotgun.

According to the security guard identified as Mark Gil Capanas, he caught the victim and his companion picking up metals in the subdivision where he’s assigned.

Capanas claimed that he has evidence that they were stealing.

However, as per the victim, they were only there shooting birds for food. Although they were found in possession of a sack with metals, they said they had no plans to steal from the area.

The young man’s mother agreed to settle the matter.
