Pasay City shooting incident involving a minor

PASAY – A 17-year-old girl was shot dead in the said city by a lone gunman due to alleged links to double-dealing of illegal drugs.

Authorities cited that the killing of the minor may have links to illegal drugs. Her death was recorded via CCTV footage.

Based on the CCTV recording of Barangay 95, she was standing outside a house in Pasay where she waited for about 30 minutes. On the other hand, the CCTV footage of Barangay 96 showed a motorcycle rider stopping at the end of the same street.

The suspect, wearing a closed helmet, approached the 17-year-old victim and shot her several times in the head. After the attack, the rider fled from the crime scene onboard a motorcycle along with a companion.

Pasay City Police Chief Cesar Paday-os said that the victim was a minor, aged 17 and a resident of another barangay in the same city.

The police were found a sachet of marijuana at the scene of the crime. It noted that the killing may be connected to the double-dealing of illegal drugs.

The suspects were identified as a certain Henry and Lan de Vera.

According to a witness, the suspects planned to assassinate the minor after she failed to remit the proceeds of the sale of illegal drugs.

However, the police stressed that the victim does not have any record and is not even included in the drug watch list.

The suspects, who remain at large are facing a case of murder.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the 17-year-old victim claimed as per the report of GMA News that they did not know she’s involved in the trade of illegal drugs.
