Director-writer Darryl Yap, the mind behind Vicentiments, revealed that prior to his stint in doing political satire to promote UniTeam’s presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos, there were two other presidential bets who approached him.

Undoubtedly, the Len-len series and other videos that Darryl and his team created for this election season caught the attention of the online community. His videos reached millions of views and this proved how the netizens responded to what they have created.

In a recent interview on Thinking Pinoy’s Facebook Live, Direk Darryl revealed that he was really the one who approached the camp of Marcos and said that he wanted to create videos to help BBM’s campaign.

However, this did not happen with just a click of a finger. He had a hard time convincing the campaign team of BBM for the genre that he wanted to do. Darryl Yap is known for his “brutal” videos.

Prior to sealing his stint to do political satires for Bongbong Marcos, the director-writer revealed that the camp of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno approached him also.

“Tinawagan ako ng camp ni Isko, feeling ko naman pwede ko namang sabihin yun, meron naman akong recall register,” he said when TP was reacted with a bit of apprehension to what he revealed.

Following this, Darryl said that he talked to his team and asked them if they wanted to do videos for Mayor Isko. However, one of his staff members who has been with him for a long time is a Marcos loyalist, and Roanna, one of the artists, belongs to a religious group that does bloc voting.

Roanna told Darryl not to accept the offer from the camp of Mayor Isko and they will just wait until the camp of BBM will allow them to do political satire.
