Ana’s father accompanied her in her first press conference since she was mauled by the actor.

“Hindi ko inasahan na mangyayari ‘yung ganyan,” Ana’s father said.

For Ana’s father, he saw in a short time how her daughter loved the actor.

Therefore, as a father, he said he could not fully imagine that his daughter would suffer abuse at the hands of the man he loved.

“Pero ‘yung dumating ang ganyang sitwasyon, hindi ko maisip na ganyan pala niya susuklian ang anak ko. Halos mamatay na e,” her father said.

Ana’s father admitted that he was deeply hurt by her son’s plight when she saw her fighting for her life after the alleged abuse.

At a press conference held on March 28, her camp announced the filing of two cases against Thompson.

According to Atty. Faye Singson, Jalandoni’s lawyer, they will file frustrated homicide and illegal detention against the actor. The charges they are mulling to file could put him in jail for several years.

To recall, the incident started when Ana and Kit checked in at a hotel in Tagaytay and had an altercation. It was then that Thompson allegedly beat up Jalandoni.

Ana was rescued by the authorities after pleading for help from her friends, sending them a photo of herself with injuries.

The police rush to the hotel and rescued Ana and brought Kit to the police station. He later underwent inquest proceedings at the Tagaytay City Prosecutors Office.

The Philippine National Police has already filed a case against Thompson for violation of Section 5 (a) of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and Children Act.

Kit Thompson has been released after posting bail.
