Vice Ganda: “Kasi nag-propose si Ion sa akin, Feb 21, 2020, sa tulong ni Jugs at Teddy. Wala pang pandemic.”
VICE GANDA — For the first time, the comedian-host admitted that he and his partner Ion Perez have been engaged since February 2020.
Vice made the surprising revelation in the Wednesday episode of “It’s Showtime” as he recently opened up about their wedding that happened in Las Vegas, Nevada last October 2021.
He shared that he and his partner were in the United States for his concert tour when they decided to go to Las Vegas and have a wedding ceremony there.

It was at this point that Vice revealed that he has actually been engaged to Ion for 2 years now. According to him, Ion popped the question to him last Feb 21, 2020.
“Actually matagal na namin… lagi naming pinag-uusapan kung ano ‘yung mga plano namin. Kasi okay, first time na namin iri-reveal. Kasi nag-propose si Ion sa akin, Feb 21, 2020, sa tulong ni Jugs (Jugueta) at Teddy (Corpuz). Wala pang pandemic,” Vice shared.
At that time, he said that he’s extremely nervous and scared that people would find out about their engagement and so he had their friends delete whatever photos and videos they took of that sweet moment.
In the program, he also shared how his perspective on love and marriage changed since he started his relationship with Ion.
Vice said that settling down and getting married were things that he never imagined he would want to do until Ion came into his life and eventually asked his hand for marriage.
However, given the current circumstances, he was forced to let go of his dream wedding (at least for the time being) and settle instead on a much smaller and simpler ceremony — though he wasn’t complaining.
In the end, he said that he’s overwhelmed by the love and support he and his partner have been receiving since they revealed this huge milestone in their relationship.
