Meet Rosie Vargas Villa, a millionaire domestic helper in Dubai
ROSIE VARGAS VILLA – A Dubai-based Filipina domestic helper who stayed with her job as a DH despite being a millionaire.
It was in 2018 when Villa became an instant millionaire after winning an online search for being the best nanny in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
She was able to join the search thanks to her Argentinean-American employer.
Her employer is confident that she’s going to win the search and at the time, Rosie had been working with her employer for five years already.
Out of 41 contestants, Rosie won and was awarded 70,000 Dirhams or 1 million pesos.
Actually, Rosie can return to the country and start her own business and be with her daughter after receiving that amount.
However, she didn’t intend to consider the two small kids of her employer she’s taking care of.
Her story was once featured in Rated K as well as Global Pinoy Unlimited of GMA Pinoy TV.
Rosie hails from Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo City. She finished a secretarial course and worked at a hotel in Iloilo.
However, she decided to go abroad to work in Singapore, Hong Kong and India.
She also experienced bad treatment from her previous employer.
In 2013, she went to Dubai, UAE, and there, she met her Argentinean-American employer.
Rosie earns 50,000 pesos a month which she sends mostly to her family in the Philippines.
She’s a single mom and has a daughter in the Philippines who’s now 21-years-old.
According to her, the good treatment of her employer is what made her decide to stay in Dubai despite being a millionaire.
