Pacquiao is gearing up for the highest position in the government this coming May 9, 2022 election.

Together with his runningmate Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza, they will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

The boxing superstar-turned-politician is currently making rounds online after he boarded a PNR train on Wednesday, February 16.

According to him, he tried riding on a train because he wanted to know how commuters feel riding a train on daily basis. This is the first time Pacquiao rode a PNR train.

The presidential candidate said that if he wins the presidency, he will improve the PNR service and build bullet trains.

The bullet train is the most modern type of train in the world used by rich countries like Japan.

Its speed reaches over 320 km/h, far from the current train speed of PNRs which only reaches 120km/h at its maximum operating speed.

Meanwhile, some netizens couldn’t help but react to what Pacquiao did.

“Basta talaga eleksyon andaming mga Politiko na sumasakay sa TRAIN noh? Yung andaming biniling sasakyan tapos magtretrain lang naman pala,” said a certain Andrew Olivar.

“Kung boto ang gus2 mo dapat ..sana sinipot nyo ang debate ng SMNI hindi dyan sa tren ka pa pasakay -sakay!” said @juvy Feliciano-Figueras.
