MEGAN YOUNG — The Kapuso star recently revealed that her husband Mikael Daez played a big role in her Miss World 2013 stint.
Megan revealed how her relationship with Mikael stayed strong even during her Miss World 2013 stint.
The Miss World 2013 titleholder revealed in an interview with Toni Talks that her husband played a big role in her joining the pageant. According to her, she was already thinking about becoming a beauty queen a year before she joined the pageant and Mikael didn’t stop her but actually pushed her to go for it.
Megan also said that Mikael told her that she should give her 1000% and never do it “half-baked” if she will be joining the pageant.
She added that she felt Mikael’s support despite the physical distance they had at that moment.
“Kahit ‘di kami masyado nagkikita noon nafeel ko talaga yung support niya,” Megan said.
According to Megan, Mikael helped her become her own person.

Megan and Mikael both agreed that the physical separation they had that time was good for both of them as individuals.
She also revealed that she heard a lot of her fellow candidates crying backstage over breakups and relationship problems during the finals night. At that point, she said that she was talking to Mikael over text and that they were both strategizing on how she will win the pageant.
Mikael was asked how it felt to have a partner like Megan who is a beauty queen, According to him, he doesn’t think about those things.
“I’m not inlove with Miss World, I’m inlove with Bonez,” Mikael said. “If she’s Miss World in her work that’s something she could hold and something she could use in her job, with or without Miss World she’s still Bonez to me and it was clear to me and I knew it was clear to her that I was inlove with Bonez and he was inlove with Fofo and everything else is fluff.“
Megan said that she received all the attention and praises after winning Miss World in 2013, but she said that Mikael made her feel that she’s still the same person.
The celebrity couple tied the knot in 2020, after being together for more than 8 years.
