In an interview on Monday, February 14, the senator said he already filed a complaint against Maharlika for violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

According to Pangilinan, Maharlika uploaded some videos that were purely destructive to him and his family.

“The contents of the videos are all false, have no factual basis and are intended to destroy or damage my reputation as a senator, public servant, and a husband to one of the most beloved celebrities in the Philippines, Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan,” the complaint stated.

Pangilinan also asked an explanation from Google why what Maharlika said in a vlog on May 21, 2021, is not against ‘community standards’ and why it has not been deleted.

Pangilinan, on the other hand, revealed that his wife Sharon and daughter Frankie also intend to file a case against Maharlika.

Meanwhile, Maharlika gave a short comment on the case filed by Pangilinan.

“Mas nakakatakot pa ang All of Us Are Dead series sa Netflix kumpara sa complaint mo Junggoy!” the vlogger said.

Last year, Pangilinan filed charges against two YouTube channels; “Latest Chika” and “Starlet” which have been taken down by the video-sharing platform.

Pangilinan is gearing up for his candidacy as vice president.

He’s running for the said position alongside Vice President Leni Robredo.

They will go against the tandem of; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
