ISKO MORENO – The Manila City Mayor said that he is willing to make Vice President Leni Robredo a member of his Cabinet if he wins president.

The Filipinos are currently around two (2) months away from a national election that will set the country’s next president and vice president. The candidates are now busy campaigning amid the official campaign period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

According to Comelec, there are 10 presidential candidates that remain on the official ballot for the upcoming poll. One of them is Manila Mayor Moreno who is running under Partido Aksyon Demokratiko.

Mayor Isko Moreno is ranking 2nd or 3rd in surveys. He is vocal in his patience to get to the people’s hearts. According to him, he will be visiting even the bailiwicks of the other presidential candidates as he will reach out to the Filipinos.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, during his visit to Cavite, Mayor Isko Moreno said that if he wins president, he is willing to make Vice Pres. Leni Robredo a member of his Cabinet if Vice President will agree to it. She is also running for president in the upcoming election as an independent candidate.

With regards to the specific position that she will offer to the Vice President should he win the presidential race, the Manila Mayor expressed that it will be based on her expertise. He clarified that he does not want to preempt what might happen but assured that he is willing to make her a member of his Cabinet.

In an opposite situation, Mayor Isko Moreno said that he will not accept any position that will be offered by the next president to him as he is set to retire from politics if he loses the presidential race. According to him, he wants to devote his time to his family who sacrificed a lot in his pursuit of public service.
