The COVID-19 pandemic remains to be the biggest challenge that the country is facing today. This disease that started way back in 2019 at Wuhan, China has placed a lot of lives at risk and has even taken the lives of many people

COVID-19 is characterized by flu-like symptoms such as fever, difficulty in breathing, cough, and other respiratory problems but a patient may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs.

Among the safety protocols that everyone must observe are the following; social/physical distancing, using disinfectant from time to time if possible, and wearing masks especially in public places.

In order to detect SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, a person needs to undergo a rapid antigen test (RAT). The test generally gives a result in 5 to 30 minutes.

However, the test kit has increased as COVID-19 cases in the country surge anew.

This prompted Maggie Wilson, a former beauty queen, to express her disappointment on social media over the expensive price of antigen test kits in the country.

The half-British, half-Filipino actress-model was dismayed at how the prices of antigen test kits have increased drastically.

Here’s her post on IG Stories:

She stressed how it’s even “more disgraceful” that the government doesn’t offer them for free. Currently, antigen test kits are being sold for P10,000 per box according to Maggie Wilson.
