Broadcaster Karen Davila returned to work as an anchor of “TV Patrol”.
KAREN DAVILA — The broadcaster recently took to social media to share that she returned to work as an anchor of “TV Patrol” and reunited with co-anchors.
Karen was back on the set of “TV Patrol” after surviving COVID-19. She shared on Instagram photos with her co-anchors on the set of ABS-CBN’s evening news program.
“And just like that… my first day back to work in the studio! WE ARE BACK on #TVPatrol,” Karen wrote.
She relayed that Alvin Elchico, Bernadette Sembrano, and Gretchen Fullido were also COVID-19 survivors as well.
Karen shared that Bernadette caught the virus early last year, adding that she and Gretchen caught the virus over the holidays and Alvin caught the virus early this year.
According to her, there’s not one family she knew who had been spared from COVID-19 but most of the symptoms were “mild”.

She also remarked that they’re “starting the year grateful for the gift of life”.
“Thank you Lord Jesus and our loving Father in Heaven for being the hope in our lives! Love you Jesus,” she wrote. “If there is one thing COVID has taught all of us, is not to take anyone and any day for granted.“
She also urged her followers to get vaccinated and get a booster shot “for love for yourself & your family” amidst the surge in coronavirus cases in the Philippines.
It was last January 7 when the broadcaster shared that she has learned to treasure this quiet time at home for prayer, healing, and resting.
