In Katigbak’s message, he’s telling about the state of ABS-CBN after it lost its franchise.

According to the ABS-CBN top executive, the Kapamilya network is located in the heart of every Filipino.

Among those who shared the message were Marry Me, Marry You stars Edu Manzano and Cherry Pie Picache, and It’s Showtime co-host Jugs Jugueta.

They shared the said message amid redistribution of frequencies previously used by the network.

It was on Wednesday, January 26 when the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) announced that it has already awarded channels 2 and 16 to Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc., a broadcasting company owned by business tycoon, Manny Villar.

NTC also awarded Channel 43 to Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy– the owner of UHF Channel 40 which broadcasts programs of his religious group Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Channel 43, the frequency used for ABS-CBN TV Plus, was previously used by Amcara Broadcasting Network and ABS-CBN.

Aside from granting frequencies to Villar and Quiboloy’s broadcasting companies, NTC also granted frequencies to Aliw Broadcasting Corporation, which operates a number of stations under the Home Radio and DWIZ brands.

NTC has given the said broadcasting company provisional authority to operate Channel 23 that previously aired Studio 23 and ABS-CBN Sports+Action.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Office of the Executive Secretary approved this move by the NTC.
