JOHN REGALA – The action star took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he recently posted a message to netizens.
Several actors and actresses gained the spotlight in the Philippine showbiz industry but eventually left the limelight. In some cases, their career hit the lowest point and they had to look for other fields.
One of the most popular actors who is inactive in showbiz now is actor John Regala. Many surely know him as he always plays the “kontrabida” roles in movies and television series.
In 2020, John made rounds on social media after he was found by a Grab food rider dizzy and starving. It caught the attention of the netizens as well as the celebrity friends of the actor.
Many people were quick to move so John can get the medical attention he needs. These include his celebrity friends Nadia Montenegro and Chuckie Dreyfus. The actor reportedly has liver and esophageal problems.
However, there was an issue amid the help he has been receiving. He claimed that he did not receive any money from the donation drive for him.
Eventually, he released a statement addressed to his colleagues in the industry.
But months following his silence, he left a cryptic post on social media.
In a Facebook post, he wrote: “You will love me when I’m dead.”
His post immediately generated mixed reactions from the netizens.
Some are expressing their concern at the same time offering their prayers for his condition.
Apparently, it is not known if his latest message has anything to do with his current condition.
John Regala or John Paul Guido Boucher Scherrer in real life rose to fame as one of the well-known antagonists in Philippine movies and television series, especially in the 1990s.
He’s also dubbed as the “Bad Boy” of Philippine action films along with fellow action stars like Robin Padilla and the late Ace Vergel.
