John Arcilla: “ANGAL sa Lockdown PERO ANTIGAS NG ULO NATIN”
JOHN ARCILLA – The award-winning actor took to social media wherein he slammed some Filipinos who are fond of wandering despite the threats of COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic remains to be the biggest challenge that the country is facing today. This disease that started way back in 2019 at Wuhan, China has placed a lot of lives at risk and has even taken the lives of many people
A lot of personalities such as celebrities, elites, and even politicians were infected with the coronavirus as well.
Earlier, John Arcilla went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein he gave a reminder to people who are fond of roaming around and being in crowded places despite the threats of the dreaded virus.
According to him, having fun while there’s still a disease lurking in the country might put someone in danger.
“WALA NAMAN BUMABAWAL SATIN NA MAGSAYA. Pero may mga KASAYAHAN na pwedeng ikamatay ng iyong pamilya o kapitbahay. Importante ang MENTAL HEALTH pero anong saysay nito kung MAMAMATAY KA?” he said.
“ANGAL sa Lockdown PERO ANTIGAS NG ULO NATIN,” he said.
His post was accompanied by a TikTok video where a massive number of people can be seen.
Some of his followers also agreed with his statement.
Meanwhile, the country is being threatened by Omicron which is said to be the most transmissible coronavirus variant, so far, according to experts.
As of posting, there are 43 cases of the Omicron variant in the Philippines.
COVID-19 continues to spike in the country. In fact, there are 10,775 new COVID-19 cases in the country as of today, January 5, 2022.
On the other hand, 58 new deaths have been recorded, raising the total number of fatalities to 51,662 while 605 additional recoveries have been logged.
Since the start of the pandemic, the Philippines has confirmed over 2,871,745 COVID-19 cases.
