According to Jaime, this will ensure that the next president will be from the Bicol Region. If she wins in the 2022 elections, the Vice President would be the first Bicolano president.

Jaime also believed that Bicol has the “best and most qualified” candidate among the presidential candidates this year.

As their “Lolo General”, referring to the nickname of his character in ABS-CBN’s long-running TV series “Ang Probinsyano”, Jaime asked his fellow Bicolanos to convince at least five voters to Robredo’s side.

The actor expressed disappointment over the fact that no president from Bicol Region had been elected despite having the fourth-largest ethnic group and the fifth-largest voting population in the Philippines.

Robredo, for her part, urged fellow Bicolanos not to let this chance to elect a president from the Bicolandia this year.

The Vice President was born and raised in Naga City, Camarines Sur in the Bicol Region. She was representative there and also stayed there for most of her adult life before she served as vice president.
