Food Panda Rider Earns PhD After Years of Hardwork

A Food Panda rider has finally earn his PhD after four years of attending night classes and working during daytime.

Delivery riders are considered as frontliners and modern-day heroes of this generation for serving the public amid the coronavirus pandemic. They continue to deliver foods, drinks and parcels just to earn money to support their family.

Several individuals have started to work as delivery riders to support their studies and reached their goals in life.

Recently, a man named Mohd Akmal of Bandar Indera Mahkota, Pahang in Malaysia has shared his inspiring story after enduring the challenges of life just to earn a degree. He working by day and spending the night on school works and thesis.

Akmal revealed that earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from Universiti Malaysia Pahang after enduring the hardships of working and studying at the same time. He learned a lot from his job as a delivery worker.

I’ve been working as a full-time rider since the start of the Movement Control Order (MCO), last year whilst continuing my studies at Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Gambang, This job taught me a lot about ‘soft skills’, how to communicate and helped me to cultivate patience and time management skills,” Akmal said.

The 36-year-old guy impressed the public with his hard-worked thesis is entitled, “Product Development and Evaluation of Probiotic Tablet From Locally Isolated Yeast Saccharomyces Boulardii For Stomach Acid Tolerance.
