Pres. Duterte Says He’ll Speak on Presidential Candidates for 2022 Election
DUTERTE – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte said that he will name the “most corrupt candidate” for president in the Election 2022.
The May 2022 Election is fast approaching and there are ten (10) presidential candidates that remain on the official ballot for the next poll. Many of the presidential aspirants have started visiting some cities and met with the people.
There were previous happenings of caravans held to welcome or to show support to certain political candidates. Most political parties have also confirmed and named the candidate they will support in the upcoming poll.
Recently, interviews of some presidential candidates were held and it publicized their stand on certain issues. Some of these are regarding territorial dispute between the country and China, corruption and the drug problem in PH, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Way ahead of the Election 2022, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte have previously spoken about come candidates. He claimed that former Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr. is a “weak leader”.
The said statement of the President gained different reactions from the public. Marcos Jr. is running under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and he has tapped presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as his tandem in the upcoming poll.
Recently, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte made another statement that ignited reactions from the people. Based on a post on Inquirer, the 76-year-old Chief Executive said that he will name the “most corrupt candidate” for president before the election.
According to the President, he will personally name the candidates and point out what is allegedly “wrong with them”. He stressed that the people deserves to know it because they are electing about the next ruler of the country. He is stressed that he is not politicking but talking to the people as the president.
