The Philippines is facing another surge of COVID-19 cases. Currently, the whole of Metro Manila is under Alert Level 3 and stricter measures like curfew are up in several cities.
Metro Manila remains under Alert Level 3 until the end of the month. Previously, the Palace and the Department of Health (DOH) affirmed that there is a possibility that the measure will escalate to Alert Level 4 if the cases continue to increase.
Outside Metro Manila, several cities with high cases of COVID-19 are also under Alert Level 3. The provinces of Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, and Northern Samar are under Alert Level 4 until the end of the month.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Bacolod City COVID-19 cases are also increasing and several healthcare workers were infected by the coronavirus disease amid the surge.
