The President made his statement during his speech at the Port of Busay in Sacol Island, Zamboanga City.

My term is nearing its end. I can say with a little bit of pride na halos lahat na ipinangako ko, natupad ko,” President Duterte said. “Dito na lang sa peace and order…But you know, for as long as there are men [on] this planet, there will always be misdeeds and wrongdoings committed by human beings.

Then-Davao City Mayor Rodrigo won the 2016 presidential race through landslide.

It can be argued that President Duterte’s charisma and tough talk, especially on the subject of criminality and illegal drugs, carried him to Malacañang.

I also said I’ll take care of law and order…Law and order, I will never tolerate, I will never tolerate yung mga terrorism … I hope I will not be put to test during my term. Ayoko talaga and I am reminded of [the] Marawi [siege],” President Duterte said. “We will not stop until all of them are eliminated. Hindi talaga ako papayag ng style na ganun.

The President was in Zamboanga to lead the inauguration of 143 social and tourism ports and the Zamboanga City Seaport Development Project. A marker was revealed at Port of Busay as part of the ceremony.

According to President Duterte, he’s happy with how infrastructure projects have progressed under his administration. The President was also hoping that all infrastructure projects will be completed by the end of his term.

Meanwhile, the President asked Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on the latter’s 2022 election plans, even as he said that he respected the latter’s announcement that he’s withdrawing from the presidential race.
