Here’s the latest tirade of Duterte to Gordon
DUTERTE vs GORDON – The country’s president once again took a swipe at the senator anew.
In his Talk to the People, the President did not mince words while lambasting again the lawmaker.
“Eh itong si ano Gordon anong ginawa ng pera P86 million? Tapos dinemanda siya ng sa COA. So iyang pagka sinabi disallowance, that is the term- that is the courteous term of- in criminal law, it’s malversation,” he said.
According to him, when you are given a disallowance, you don’t pay or return the money. Instead, you fight it out.
But in Gordon’s case, he lost the fight at the Supreme Court.
Duterte stressed that until now, Gordon has yet to pay the government what he’s opted to.
“Tapos kung magdaldal akala mo lahat ng…ila-live mo kasi para marinig. Mas magpakamarunong pa,” he added.
The president said that he wanted Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade to run for senator in order to lecture those who are not very knowledgeable in law but the secretary said he did not want to.
He also called the senate’s legal counsel “bugok.”
This is not the first time the president threw comments against Gordon, the chairman and chief executive officer of the Philippine Red Cross.
Their exchange of words started amid the Senate inquiry into the use of COVID-19 funds by the Department of Health (DOH) involving Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation, a firm that is being linked to former presidential economic adviser Michael Yang.
Gordon has yet to issue any statement with regards to the latest tirade of President Duterte.
