Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s Daughter Positive for COVID-19 After U.S. Travel
LENI ROBREDO’S DAUGHTER – Tricia Robredo, the second daughter of the Vice President, tested positive for COVID-19 after traveling from the United States.
The threats of COVID-19 are still present in most countries across the globe. Travel restrictions and health protocols remain up for arriving passengers in the Philippines. Among those who recently traveled abroad are the daughters of Vice President Leni Robredo.
According to the Vice President, her three daughters, Aika, Tricia, and Gillian went home to the Philippines from New York last December 20. They underwent quarantine and were tested for COVID-19 on the 5th day since their arrival in the country.
Unexpectedly, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s daughter Tricia tested positive for COVID-19. Her two (2) other daughters, her eldest Aika and her youngest Gillian, tested negative for the virus.
The Vice President had no contact with her daughters and had to spend the Christmas holiday alone due to it. Despite it, she’s happy that the virus was contained.
According to Vice Pres. Leni Robredo, Tricia is now “on the road to healing”. Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s daughter already tested negative for COVID-19 but she remains under isolation.
The Vice President is also under quarantine now after one of her close-in security tested positive for COVID-19. According to her, she had contact with him so she has to go through the mandatory 7-day quarantine despite the pursuit to do her rounds and help the victims of Typhoon Odette.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo previously went to Bohol, Dinagat Islands, Negros Occidental, and Negros Oriental among others to bring and distribute relief assistance for the victims of the calamity. Many Filipinos are in great need of help now. Donations from private entities and organizations were sent to her office for the victims of the typhoon.
