It was just recently when Kim made a buzz on social media following her controversial Instagram story.

The IG story showed the portrait of Bea Alonzo being removed in the ABS-CBN hallway. Eventually, she decided to remove her post.

But before taking down her IG story, some netizens were able to secure a copy of it.

During the presscon of her upcoming movie, Huwag Kang Lalabas, which is one of the official entries in the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), Kim Chiu admitted that she was worried after the video leaked and went viral online.

According to her, she was with It’s Showtime co-host, Amy Perez, when they spotted two maintenance staff members removing a portrait from the gallery of stars.

Apparently, Kim was bashed for posting a video of it on her IG stories. Some accused her of being insensitive.

When asked how would she react if ever her portrait at the ABS-CBN gallery of stars removed, Kim Chiu said: “Parang binababa lang naman siya kapag. Hindi ko po alam, ha! Siyempre, hindi naman ako ang nag-utos na tanggalin. Nagkataon lang na nakita namin ni Tiyang.”

The issue even reached ABS-CBN TV Production Head and Star Magic Head, Laurenti Dyogi.

Bea Alonzo has yet to comment on the matter.

Bea is one of the prized actresses in her generation. She is best known for her portrayals in the films One More Chance, Four Sisters and a Wedding, Eerie and to name a few.

Through the years, she has also bagged numerous awards including the title of Box Office Queen.

Last July, she decided to transfer to GMA Network after almost 20 years under ABS-CBN.

Her move saddened many but there were also people who are happy for her maybe because of the opportunities waiting in the line.
