GCash was recruiting micro entrepreneurs.
GCASH — The mobile wallet was recruiting micro entrepreneurs as partner-outlet-remittance centers, supplementing their earnings by at least PHP 10,000 monthly.
The said move made digital financial services accessible to more Filipinos and to provide more income to small businesses at the same time.
GCash executives maintained that as “GCash Pera Outlets”, sari-sari store owners can earn extra income and their patrons in the area didn’t have to travel far to a “bayad center” or convenience store.
Manila Bulletin reported that people can avail all of what the mobile wallet has to offer, such as “Cash In”, “Cash Out”, “Pay Bills”, and “Send Money”, all through sari-sari stores.
Also, non-GCash users can claim GCash Padala sent to them via the sari-sari stores’ Pera Outlet.
According to a report, GCash Pera Outlet operators can get an increased wallet size of up to PHP 500,000 and cash in was free through agents as well as commission or bonuses from each transaction.

Signing up was simple as well because it’s all done via the app. The micro entrepreneur only needed to look for “GCash PO” under business services on his/her dashboard, fill up the application form, and submit his/her business registration.
GCash will then approve the application within 5-7 business days. Once approved, the micro entrepreneur Was assigned a distributor agent who will deliver tarpaulins and posters so that the people in the area will know they can go to his/her store for services.
Customers can buy load, pay bills at more than 600 partner billers, pay at more than 7,000 online partners, send and receive money anywhere in the Philippines via the app.
Users can also pay using QR codes at more than 130,000 partner merchants nationwide, can save money while earning interest, and can invest money at local and global funds — all through the convenience of their mobile phones.
