It was on Wednesday, December 8 when the former senator and the Davao City Mayor held a “Uniteam Caravan” in Quezon City.

The event drew thousands of BBM-SARA supporters which resulted in traffic congestion along Congressional and Quezon Avenues.

The caravan started past 8 a.m. and finished around 1 p.m. at Welcome Rotonda.

However, while the caravan is going on, a tension between the crew of the Kapamilya Network and supporters of BBM and Sara erupted.

The tension between the two parties was recorded on cam and was uploaded on social media.

The video shows a vehicle owned by ABS-CBN passing through supporters of BBM and Sara- who can be heard chanting the word “bias” while approaching the mobile.

At one point, a passenger of the said vehicle flashed a “dirty finger” while onboard the ABS-CBN mobile.

This irked the BBM-Sara supporters, prompting them to plunge at the vehicle while shouting.

The tension between them lasted for a few minutes since the ABS-CBN mobile eventually left the scene.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN has issued an official statement following the incident between their crew and supporters of BBM and Sara.

Here’s the statement of the Kapamilya Network according to PEP.ph:

We regret the incident involving an employee who made an offensive hand gesture as they were being harassed by a group of people attending a political caravan.

We expect our news teams to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity at all times, regardless of any provocation and hostility they may face.

We also appeal to supporters of political candidates to treat everyone with respect, including members of the media who are doing their best to cover the political campaigns in a manner that is accurate, fair, and impartial.

We assure the public that we are addressing this incident based on the company’s code of conduct for employees.

The camp of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte has yet to issue any statement regarding the incident.
