PARKING ALTERCATION – A vice mayoral aspirant in the municipality of Maragondon in Cavite was killed by his friend/neighbor following their altercation due to parking.

Nolito Magallanes, the victim, was a former vice mayor of Maragondon from 2004 to 2007. He was supposed to run for the said position in the 2022 elections.

On the other hand, the suspect was identified as Robert Amoranto, a friend and neighbor of Magallanes.

Based on the report of the police, the two were having a drinking session when they got into an argument with regards to the victim’s vehicle parked at the basketball court.

Allegedly, none could play at the basketball court because the victim’s vehicle is being parked there.

After their altercation, the suspect followed the victim who first left the scene and eventually shot him in front of his house in Barangay Bacao II in General Trias. The shooting incident happened past 6 pm on Tuesday, November 16.

As soon as he killed the victim, the suspect fled from the crime scene and while the investigation is ongoing, the police have placed him under manhunt.

Apparently, the authorities have yet to release any update with regards to the whereabouts of the suspect.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family has requested privacy as they attend to the details of the wake as well as the internment.
