Kris was once linked to Herbert over a romantic relationship. Apparently, it did not blossom.

Recently, Herbert, the former mayor of Quezon City-now-senatorial aspirant took to social media wherein he shared a tweet that some netizens claimed to be a “patama” to the actress over her engagement.

“Mr. President Ping @iampinglacson, na-inspire din tuloy akong mag-propose. Kaso, sayang… may napili na po sya. #TOTGA #KungMaibabalikKoLang,” he noted in the caption on his shared post.

However, his post seemed an insult to the former Interior secretary Mel Sarmiento, the current fiance of Kris.

As a response, Sarmiento confronted Bautista and reminded the politician that talking about past flames in public is improper and ungentlemanlike.

Eventually, Kris Aquino broke her silence following Mel’s statement against Herbert. Although she did not drop any names, it’s obvious that her post is being addressed to the politician.

Herbert Bautista has yet to comment on Mel and Kris’s statement against him.

Meanwhile, showbiz veteran Lolit Solis has reacted to the latest “issue” between Kris and Herbert.

At first, she said: “Wala naman siguro ibang kulay iyon pagkaka banggit ni Herbert.”

Later, Lolit Solis agreed with Mel that what Herbert posted about Kris was “very ungentleman.”
