Eraserheads’ Ely Buendia Visits VP Leni Robredo at her Office
LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President took to social media a message for Eraserheads lead vocalist Ely Buendia after his visit to her office.
Prior to Vice Pres. Robredo announcing her bid for the presidency in the Election 2022, fans and supporters of the hit Filipino rock band Eraserheads were given hope with regards to the band’s reunion after its lead vocalist, Ely Buendia, said that a reunion may happen if the Vice President will run in the next election.
Right after Vice Pres. Robredo confirmed to the public that she is running for the top position in the government next year, netizens were quick to call out Eraserheads saying it is their time to move.
While the band has yet to reunite or spoke much about the reunion, a recent happening in the Office of the Vice President caught the social media by storm – Eraserheads lead vocalist Ely Buendia visited Vice Pres. Leni Robredo.
Ely Buendia even brought with him the “Eraserheads 25th Anniversary Limited Edition” vinyl and gave it to Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. The Vice President posted a photo of her with the band’s lead vocalist and the gift he gave her.
On her Facebook post, Vice Pres. Robredo expressed her gratitude to Ely and told him that he witnessed how many of them in the Office of the Vice President (OVP) are actually fans of the Eraserheads‘ lead vocalist.
Vice Pres. Leni Robredo is running as an independent candidate in the Election 2022. She tapped Liberal Party’s Sen. Kiko Pangilinan as her vice president. They are vocal in pushing for a change in how the government in the Philippines works.
The Vice President stressed that if she secures the presidency next year, she will focus on addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts and as well as several other fields like safe employment for the Filipino people.
