It was on Sunday, November 21 when he first posted a photo of himself while in the hospital as he prepares for his operation due to an Achilles injury.

Achilles tendon “stretches from the bones of your heel to your calf muscles. It’s common for this tendon to get injured. It can be mild or moderate and feel like a burning pain or stiffness in that part of your leg. If the pain is severe, your Achilles tendon may be partly or completely torn” according to webmd.com.

Prior to that, he shared on social media how he accumulated the leg injury.

At the time, he was playing basketball with his friends when all of a sudden he felt something “may pumutok na malakas (may napigtas).”

At first, he did not feel any pain until he realized that his Achilles tendon has been damaged.

He also reminded his followers of the importance of stretching well before playing basketball to avoid such an incident to happen.

Joross Gamboa said that it will take around six months before he can fully recover from the operation.
