Their first movie together was an “anniversary gift” to Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga
Real-life sweethearts Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga were set to star in their first movie together and the streaming will start a day before their anniversary.
Working together for the first time in “Dulo”, the couple was expected to find the said project merely a breeze for them since they had been together for a year now this December.
But the couple was even surprised that they both needed to adjust when the cameras started grinding.
“Dulo” was an “anniversary gift” to both of them since the streaming of the movie on Vivamax will start on December 10, a day before they marked their first year as a couple on December 11.
The said movie was Barbie’s first project with Viva as well as with her real-life boyfriend. Barbie can’t be thankful enough that she’s given a chance to work with her boyfriend.

Both stars agreed that the story of “Dulo” was an accurate depiction of what had been happening to people their age in real life.
With an intense plot that covered living together, the said movie has no inhibitions for the couple, who gave their honest opinion about the unsurprising, live-in set-up for young couples, one of the messages the movie wanted to convey.
The actress was thankful that their director, Fifth Solomon, had consistently been supportive all throughout the filming, especially with intense or difficult scenes. Diego, for his part, also commended the people they worked with who made everything eventually light for them.
The challenge for the couple was detaching from their respective roles after the scenes were done.
“Mahirap din kapag tinitignan namin ang isa’t-isa at feeling naming, kami na talaga ang nasa eksena,” Barbie recalled. “Nagiging ako si Bianca kahit wala ng camera. Mabigat ang eksena. Nadadala ko siya hanggang pagbalik sa hotel. Si Diego hindi naman niya ako pinapabayaan.”
