It was just recently when the Cebu City-based beauty queen was crowned as the winner of this year’s Miss World Philippines.

Tracy is an industrial engineer and was also able to previously bag the Binibining Cebu Charity 2018 title. She attended the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, the institution where she got her bachelor’s degree.

She will represent the country at the 70th Miss World pageant on December 16, 2021, which will be held at Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot.

In an interview, she talked about her late mom who also made a name for herself in the world of pageantry.

Her mom, Chona Perez, was once a finalist in the Binibining Pilipinas 1979. At the time, she was declared among the Five Prettiest of Cebu.

Tracy Maureen Perez admitted that she never dreamt of entering the pageantry when she was young until her mom shared with her the experiences she had in beauty contests.

She was in college when she first joined a pageant.

According to her, she was born prematurely. Her mom feared she would never bear a child after she got into an accident when she was only 18. Apparently, she did not mention when or how her mom passed away.

Meanwhile, Tracy is currently gearing up for the upcoming Miss World pageant. She’s hoping to bag the second title for the country after Megan Young who coveted the crown in 2013.
