Daughter of Noli de Castro Reacts to Claims that Kabayan Died
NOLI DE CASTRO – Kat de Castro, the daughter of Kabayan, broke her silence on the claims that the veteran broadcaster died.
Many people now are calling the public to be wary of false information and fake news and claims on social media. For several times, many known personalities fell victims to these false information and some claims even reported them dead.
One of those who were rumored to have passed away is former Vice President Noli de Castro. More commonly called as “Kabayan”, the 72-year-old veteran broadcast journalist was rumored to have passed away after being in a comatose state following an accident.
The social media posts about Kabayan that alarmed a lot of people said the veteran broadcaster slipped. Photos of him with his daughter, Kat de Castro, circulated on the online platforms.
Recently, the daughter of Noli de Castro broke her silence amid the public’s queries about Kabayan following claims that he died. On Facebook, Kat de Castro assured the people that the former Vice President is “absolutely fine” and they even just had shared a meal together.
The statement of Kat brought relief to a lot of people. The last public citing of the veteran broadcaster was when he filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for senator in the Election 2022.
Prior to it, he bid goodbye to ABS-CBN News as he announced his plan to make a comeback in the political arena. He has worked day-to-day in the broadcasting field since his term as the country’s vice president ended in 2010.
Kabayan is one of the news anchor of the Kapamilya prime time newscast “TV Patrol”. He also hosted a radio program in TeleRadyo.
The veteran broadcaster has filed his COC for senator but, a few days after he filed his COC, he decided to withdraw his bid. According to him, he can contribute more if he stays in the media.
