A makeup artist from Bulacan shares what prompted him to undergo retoke
GINO MONREAL HINOLAN – A makeup artist from Balagtas, Bulacan spent at least P600K on cosmetic surgery or retoke.
A lot of ordinary citizens and even celebrities underwent beauty enhancement.
Among the primary reasons is to look good at the same time boost their self-esteem.
One of them is Gino Monreal Hinolan, a makeup artist from Bulacan.
It was in July when he appeared on the Bawal Judgmental segment of the GMA-7 noontime show Eat Bulaga.
At the time, he admitted that he spent at least PHP600,000 to enhance his nose, chin, dimples, lips as well as his “botox, and threads, and fillers.”
In an interview with PEP.ph, the makeup artist said that when it comes to beauty enhancement, he consults with the experts first to avoid any undesirable side effects.
He also revealed the reason why he underwent such enhancements.
According to him, as a makeup artist, he needs to look good and credible with what he is doing.
He added that the procedures he went through resulted in positive effects on his well-being. It also helped boost his self-confidence.
When asked if undergoing cosmetic enhancements or retoke has a tendency to become addictive, he said: “I can say meron, but kailangan mong i-control sa sarili mo… that you need to have satisfaction.”
He also gave a statement to those who criticize aesthetic surgery.
For Gino, undergoing beauty enhancement is part of self-love especially if it is good for oneself.
