Kapuso actress Klea Pineda speaks about body-shaming
KLEA PINEDA – The Kapuso actress opened up about her struggles with body-shamers.
Body shaming is defined as the act of making inappropriate and negative comments about another person’s weight or size.
Many experienced such a rude act and celebrities are not exempted. Some are being criticized because of their body that drastically changed throughout the years.
Even other celebrities who are in fact not that big in size receive body shaming. One of which is Kapuso actress Klea Pineda.
In an interview with GMA Public Affairs’ “Dapat Alam Mo,” she opened up about her experience with bashers.
“Itong nakaraang months, nawala ‘yung self-esteem ko, self-confidence ko, nawala ‘yun,” she said.
According to her, she felt bad every time she read on social media remarks from people trying to pull her down.
But she did not let those harsh words ruin her positive thinking, instead, she channel it to other things such as working out which helped her improve her well-being.
Klea Pineda is currently one of the most promising actresses of GMA-7.
Her showbiz career started when she was hailed as “Ultimate Female Survivor” of StarStruck (season 6) alongside Migo Adecer in 2015.
She last appeared on television via the hit series, Magkaagaw.
Klea has been active on social media especially on the image-sharing platform, Instagram wherein she opened up about her plans to become a pilot as well as enter the world of pageantry.
