KIM ATIENZA — Here’s what the “Kuya ng Bayan” answered when he was asked about his secret to staying in the media industry.
At the “Kapuso Brigade Zoomustahan” held last October 14, Kuya Kim recently shared his secrets on how to stay in the media industry.
According to him, the first secret was that the media must be one’s “passion”. Kuya Kim explained that it looked like what people see on television was easy but it’s difficult for them to come up with that product.
The second secret was said to be “persistence”. According to Kuya Kim, it takes persistence because a person will get tired at a certain point.
“Kapag finocus mo na ‘yung output mo sa ‘paano ako sisikat? paano ako gagaling?’ Sisikat ka, mabilis. Magiging star ka pero mabilis ka din mawawala, hindi ka tatagal,” Kuya Kim shared.

To sum up, Kuya Kim shared that passion and persistence were his secrets to staying in the media industry.
With Kuya Kim’s more than a decade of experience in the broadcast media industry, he also shared who he was behind the camera.
According to him, he had a lot of hobbies behind the camera — running, triathlon, and riding a motorcycle. He also shared that he’s no longer driving a car but he’s riding a motorcycle every day.
Meanwhile, Kuya Kim was previously asked in an online interview how he stayed on top of trends and issues. According to Kuya Kim, being clueless about the news just showed that a person was lazy.
“There are many sources of information. Even if you’re busy, you can still be updated. Look at social media, websites,” Kuya Kim said.
