IMEE MARCOS – The Senator spoke about the issues and the divided stand over the regime of his late father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

The presidential bid of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos undeniably ignited the issues and the divided stand over the regime of his late father, former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr. The #NeverAgain went trending on social media as many people are against Marcos Jr. for the top post while there are also a lot of supporters for the former Senator.

Visibly, the people have divided stand over the era that left a huge mark in Philippine history. As for the daughter of the late former President, Sen. Imee Marcos, they also fell short in explaining their side.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Sen. Imee Marcos who claims that she was very young then said that they also have their shortcomings as to why the people have divided stand now over her father’s regime.

“Kasalanan din namin. May sense ako na nagkulang din kami sa kaka-explain. Noong panahon na ‘yun, hindi din ako mulat na mulat, teenager, iba ang pinagkakaabalahan mo,” she said.

Based on the report, Sen. Marcos was 31 years old when her father was ousted from office. They had their exile abroad which ended in the United States after the former President died.

According to the Senator, she is even encouraging the Cabinet members of her late father including the generals to write about during that era. She stressed that those who were speaking about it now were not even present during that time.

Sen. Imee Marcos revealed that she is also pushing her mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, to write about that era. However, according to her, her 92-year-old mother would refuse to do so saying that they are usually attacked.
