President Rodrigo Duterte said in his Talk to the People address aired on Wednesday that he will address the public twice a week in order to assure Filipinos that government resources were all accounted for amidst the pandemic.

We will report to you twice a week and we will account every money na ginagastos ng gobyerno para sa tao,” Duterte said

Also, President Duterte said that there’s a need to frequently address the nation amidst the ongoing Senate blue ribbon committee investigation on the government’s PHP 8 billion worth of pandemic supplies procurement because senators critical of the national government’s pandemic response were only politicking.
