Earlier, Ablan commented on an article of Preview.ph about Kris and Bimby.

It is said that Kris would rather donate her precious designer bags to charity than hand them down to her future daughter-in-law particularly of Bimby.

Atty. Michel Kristian Ablan, PCOO Undersecretary for Administration, Finance, and Freedom of Information, commented by saying: “Eh son-in-law?”

His comment might have earned a negative reaction.

On Twitter, he apologized for his sensitive comment which is said to be a case of “gender microaggression.”

Gender microaggressions are small, seemingly innocuous comments that can pile up over time and affect a person’s sense of self and identity.

Bimby is the son of Kris Aquino with former husband and basketball star James Yap.

He has been a subject of criticism over the years.

The most recent criticism swirled at him is about his gender preference.

But in an interview with her mom Kris for a vlog, he made the record straight. He said: “I’m straight, I like women.”

Kris Aquino, on the other hand, said that she will accept her son whether he’s gay or not.

With his words, Bimby gained the admiration of many and his pronouncement ended the long-running criticism about his gender orientation.

Bimby is now 14 years old and has also tried acting.

In 2013, he starred in My Little Bossings followed by The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin in 2014.

He last appeared on the movie screen via the 2015 film All You Need Is Pag-Ibig.
