Marco Gumabao Wants to Return to Siargao with Julia Barretto
MARCO GUMABAO – The young actor admitted his admiration towards actress Julia Barretto but he chose their friendship over making a move.
Many celebrities are close to each other on and off the camera. Some of them have already met even before they achieved the spotlight in the showbiz industry.
Among the Filipino celebrities who are close to each other even behind the camera are Marco Gumabao and Julia Barretto. They have the same circle of friends off cam.
According to Marco, he and Julia have known each other since they were kids but they were not as close then as they are now. Based on an article on Pep, the actor’s father, Dennis Roldan, is close with the actress’ aunt, Gretchen Barretto.
Marco said that he knows Julia since she was four years old. Then, he was seven years old. However, they only got the chance to be close to each other when both of them became under the Star Magic.
Based on the article, Marco Gumabao also admitted that he liked Julia Barretto. According to him, it was an open secret and their friends know about it but he chose not to take a move and maintain their friendship.
“Alam ng mga barkada namin na may gusto ako kay Julia. Pero never ako talagang gumawa ng kahit na anong move dahil ayokong masira ang friendship namin,” he said.
Marco stressed that their friendship is more important to him and they are both happy now. According to him, he would have regrets if he took a move and they did not work out as it will ruin their friendship.
Currently, Marco Gumabao and Julia Barretto are working together in a TV5 drama anthology entitled “Di Na Muli”. The young actor is looking forward to returning to Siargao with the actress, as a friend, as it is their favorite “go to” place.
