Netizens couldn’t help but gush over a TikTok video where college student Jean Rubico, 20, can be seen answering her lover Wendel Tibor, 23.

The two first met on July 19, 2021, when Jean went to a vaccination site in Sto. Tomas, Batangas for her second dose of the vaccine.

It was Wendel’s first day of work and he was assigned to the registration area.

In the September 12 episode of On Record, a magazine show of GMA News and Public Affairs, he said that he seemed to be seeing an angel after he first saw her.

Coincidentally, Jean approached him to register.

Wendel grabbed the chance to ask Jean if she’s using the same name on Facebook.

Unbeknownst to Wendel, the feeling is mutual because Jean found him good-looking.

Then, they started to become chatmates, and right after Jean got vaccinated, Wendel asked how she’s feeling.

After two days, Wendel decided to visit her in their house and asked permission from her parents to court her.

Wendel and Jean were surprised that their fathers had known each other for so long.

On August 21, Jean took to the video-sharing platform TikTok, to announce that they are now in a relationship.

In the said clip, Jean can be seen inside a car and there she handed Wendel a cake placed in a paper container.

When Wendel opened the container, the words “officially yours” were written on the cake as she finally answered her suitor.

It can be seen in the video how happy Wendel is after achieving the sweet yes from the girl he loves after a month of courtship. In fact, he had tears of joy.

According to PEP.ph, the two will be celebrating their first monthsary this coming September 20.
