MANUEL CHUA JR – The actor took to the social networking site, Facebook to defend Arjo Atayde after an alleged breach of protocol in Baguio.

It was August 16, Monday, when Arjo tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Feelmaking Productions, Inc., because he has a pre-existing medical condition, the doctors, and even Arjo’s parents agreed to rush him to the hospital in Manila the next day.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong later announced that Arjo left the city despite the fact that he was positive for COVID-19.

The mayor explained that Arjo allegedly did not follow the instruction not to leave Baguio while waiting for the result of his COVID-19 test.

Magalong allegedly found out that Arjo Atayde left Baguio on August 16.

It was then he was accused of abandoning his colleagues.

While many are criticizing him, others especially those who are working with him in Baguio took to various platforms on social media to share their side of the story.

Meanwhile, the issue has been clarified that there was a miscommunication.

Arjo Atayde’s attending physician Dr. Claudette Guzman Dare already explained how they reached the decision to bring the actor to Manila to confine him to a hospital in San Juan.

Aside from Manuel Chua, several other artists also attested that they were not abandoned by Arjo Atayde.

Among those who took to their respective social media accounts were Jobert Austria, Mon Confiado, Gillian Vicencio, and Arjo’s leading lady in the film being shot in Baguio, Alexa Miro.
