Josh Colet and Dani Mortel are now engaged
JOSH COLET – The Los Bastardos star, who is known for his role as Connor in the defunct Kapamilya series, is now engaged.
On Monday, July 19, he took to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein he shared his engagement with former MYX VJ Dani Mortel.
His girlfriend for two years also made a similar announcement on her IG page.
In the photo she posted, Josh Colet can be seen kneeling before his girlfriend asking her hand in marriage.
Their respective post was then flooded with congratulatory messages from netizens and even celebrities.
Among those who commented are Edward Barber, Darren Espanto, Khalil Ramos, Joseph Marco, Ritz Azul, Michelle Vito, Chie Filomeno, Daniel Matsunaga, Patrick Sugui, Lou Yanong, Sunshine Garcia, and Luis Hontiveros.
Meanwhile, in a vlog that they released early this year, the couple revealed that they have known each other since college.
Years later, they reconnect through Instagram, and during a trip to La Union, they unexpectedly cross paths.
Josh Colet recalled: “Nag-ride kami ng Los Bastardos boys papuntang La Union. Nung nandoon na kami, nag-message siya bigla. First day we were there, nag-Story ako. Sabi niya, ‘Oh, nasa La Union kayo? Pupunta rin kami diyan eh.’ Kasama niya friends niya.”
He added: “So ‘di ba, what are the odds? One week kami nag-uusap tapos biglang pupunta rin siya sa La Union. … Eh ako I’m a big believer in faith and destiny. ‘Yung tipong hindi mo pinaplano tapos biglang mangyayari, magkikita kayo, tapos magci-click kayo. Gusto ko ‘yun eh. Talagang ‘yun ‘yung teleserye side ko.”
