The Philippine National Police (PNP) is determined to catch those behind the bombing in Masbate City that killed a football player and his cousin.
Keith Absalon, 21, a Far Eastern University player who also represented the Philippines in the Under 19 tournament, along with his cousin Nolven died after an improvised explosive device exploded in Brgy. Anas, Masbate City.
Police suspect the bomb was from the New People’s Army.
“I am directing the local police to coordinate with the military and launch manhunt operations against the suspects,” said PNP chief Guillermo Eleazar.
Eleazar also instructed the policemen in the NPA-infested area to be alert to possible attacks by the rebel group.
