Gizmochina reported that Huawei Technologies founder Ren Zhengfei had told the company’s employees to learn from the United States.

Ren Zhengfei said in a newly published speech that the company had to remain open and learn to continue to grow in the international markets. According to a SCMP report, Ren Zhengfei made the statement despite the United States having applied pressure through different sanctions on the company.

Based on a report on Gizmochina, Ren Zhengfei made the statement in a company forum back in May 2021 and the said speech was published in the brand’s internal online forum earlier this week.

During the said forum, Ren Zhengfei answered questions from employee representatives as well.

Is China a part of the world? Yes. Therefore, our insistence on globalization also includes the domestic market. We cannot be closed. We must stay open,” Ren Zhengfei said in response to a question if Huawei should focus more on the China market because of US sanctions.

Ren Zhengfei also said that the company still needed to learn from the United States since the country was flexible as well as stronger in both science and technology.

In other words, Huawei Technologies still aimed on expanding its presence in the global market.
